Business Informatics and IT: SILA Union at the Center of the Educational Process

Business process digitalization, business informatics, and data analytics—these sound like careers of the future, but they are already in high demand today. We know this for certain, as SILA Union is already deeply integrated into the educational environment, and students are actively using our technological platform in their projects.

In June, we had the opportunity to personally engage with student ideas and evaluate the depth of their knowledge and talents—SILA Union took part in the work of state examination boards for interdisciplinary exams and final qualification projects at two major universities: the MGIMO branch in Odintsovo and Bauman Moscow State Technical University (BMSTU).

SILA Union at MGIMO
At MGIMO, fourth-year students of the Faculty of Financial Economics defended their interdisciplinary exams and final theses in the field of “Business Informatics” (“Information Technologies in International Business”).

The exam was conducted in a case-based format, with half of the tickets using SILA Union as the tool for building business process models. Graduating students also actively used the platform in their thesis projects.

Students presented interesting and in-depth projects on diverse topics ranging from AI in analytics to digitalization of a forge shop. Some of the most notable included:

– Development of an information model for smart contracts in the banking sector
– Business process modeling of production potential elements in a machine-building forge shop
– Application of AI in sports event analytics
– Modeling and implementation of shift-left testing practices in the software development cycle for a banking project
– Development of an information-analytical module for monitoring medical personnel

SILA Union at Bauman Moscow State Technical University
At BMSTU, under the chairmanship of SILA Union Managing Partner Elena Silkina, students defended their bachelor's theses in the “E-Business Technologies” program under the “Business Informatics” specialization.

Here, students presented projects in business digital transformation and technological solutions for industry: services for process planning optimization, information system architecture, platforms for process monitoring, and decision support.

All graduates successfully demonstrated their competencies in business process analysis, IT project management, investment design, and systems architecture development.

For SILA Union, participation in state examination boards is about knowledge exchange, experience sharing, and a meaningful contribution to shaping the next generation of specialists in business informatics and information technology. We are proud to support the future generation of professionals at the start of their careers and look forward to continuing this important collaboration.
