Plekhanov Russian University of Economics Hosts Workshop for Students Using SILA Union Software
The Plekhanov Russian University of Economics recently conducted a workshop for 10th-grade students titled "Modeling the Process of Organizing a School Festival." The workshop introduced students to business process design, offering them practical insights into real-world applications and methods for evaluating the effectiveness of their actions. Process modeling was carried out on the SILA Union digital platform, providing a hands-on experience with industry-standard tools.
SILA Union and the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics collaborate to modernize the educational process and prepare young professionals in alignment with current market demands. This partnership involves updating academic programs, offering internships and student placements at SILA Union, and organizing joint events such as conferences, seminars, and workshops.
At the workshop, students were introduced to business processes, learned the fundamentals of modeling, and understood the importance of these activities in a professional setting. Through the example of creating a model for organizing a school festival, participants mastered the professional EPC notation and gained hands-on experience with the SILA Union platform.
SILA Union software is a modern, in-demand tool for designing, analyzing, and optimizing business processes. It supports all popular notations—EPC, BPMN 2.0, ArchiMate, UML, and others—and allows users to create custom notations. The tool is widely utilized not only by major companies across the country but also in the educational programs of top universities such as MGIMO, HSE, MIREA, and more.
Following the workshop, participants extended their learning beyond the initial assignment, independently modeling additional processes to deepen their skills.
The use of SILA Union—an accessible, industry-relevant tool—in high school equips students with practical expertise and helps them explore potential career paths.
